November 2017 Watt’s News

They say, “No news is good news”, so we should just put the lack of an October Watt’s News down to that. Then I won’t have to bore you with details of my Simpson Desert adventure with my dad and my son. I doubt you’d want to hear about the 1200+ sand dunes that we drove over, including ‘Big Red’ near Birdsville, or about camping under the stars for two weeks. I know you wouldn’t be interested in knowing about the Dalhousie Hot Springs or that we went to Bathurst after all that; so let’s go with the “No News” option. I would’ve blamed the lack of communication on being flooded in, but as my wife was quick to point out when I tried that one on her; we were at the Mt. Dare Hotel when the floods hit and she was able to ring in on their land line to confirm we were okay. So I will just come clean like I eventually did with her. It’s very hot in the dessert and you have to keep the fluids up.  Beers were expensive at $7.00 a can but gave hours of fun, while the phone cards were $10.00 and only lasted minutes and by the time I began to consider all of this, I had already started rehydrating. Sorry.

While I can’t promise I won’t repeat the above behavior in the future, to make up for it this time, I took my wife on a weekend away and we have a couple of ripping deals on our Sales Page for you too.  Make sure you take advantage of my repentance sale and phone or email our staff with your orders on (03) 9720.4864 or sales@jaydeeautocables.com.au

Tungsram Halogen Globes:

Over the next few months as we run down our current stock on some of the Osram Halogen Globe range, we will be replacing them with the Tungsram Brand. Industry comparisons and testing have been impressive in relation to quality and overall lifetime of the Tungsram versions, but the big picture comes down to Osram pricing since moving offshore and supplying through agents in Australia.

Refer to the following price comparison.

Tungsram H7 50+ (Twin Pack): Part No: G58520MPU @ $23.50ea

Osram H7 60+ (Single Globe): Part No: GOH7SS @ $16.40ea

Joke of the Month

A guy is driving down a country road and as he was passing a rural property, he spots a sign on the front gate that reads, “Talking Horse for Sale.” Intrigued, he drives down towards the main house and stops outside the stable to check it out. He walks up to the only horse in the structure and jokingly starts a conversation.  “So what have you done with your life?” he asks the horse. “I’ve led a full life,” the horse answers miraculously. “I was born in The Andes where I herded for an entire village. Years later, while travelling, I entered the Kentucky Derby and actually came out to Australia to race in the Melbourne Cup.  That didn’t work out thanks to a poor jockey choice, so then I joined the mounted police force to do my bit for the community. Nowadays, in keeping with my generous nature, I spend my time giving free rides to underprivileged kids up here in the country.” The guy is completely flabbergasted and walks up to the house and asks the horse’s owner, “Why on earth would you want to get rid of such an incredible animal?”

The owner says, “Because he’s a liar! He never did any of that stuff!”

Be careful of any tips this spring, even if they come from the horse’s mouth and have a great month!
